The department maintains records for Cyprus international business companies, for local entities, and for companies registered in other jurisdictions. Records are kept under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), so the figures a client sees during the year are prepared on the same basis as the financial statements filed at the year end.
The firm also carries clients' VAT reporting and payroll: registrations, preparation and filing of the periodic declarations, each to its own deadline. The figures are kept in agreement as a matter of course — the VAT return reconciles to the ledger it came from, and the payroll cost in the accounts is the amount actually paid over.
