What We Do

Payroll

Payroll is where a small error becomes an immediate problem: a late submission, an underpaid contribution, or a payslip an employee cannot make sense of. We run payroll for Cyprus employers month after month so that it happens on time, and so that the figures behind it hold up when someone examines them.

Payroll does not run in isolation from the accounting records. The payroll cost in your management accounts and the amounts actually paid over to the authorities are the same figures, reconciled as a matter of course rather than as a year-end exercise.

What we handle

  • Monthly payroll processing and individual payslips
  • Registration of the employer, and of each new employee, with the Social Insurance Services
  • Calculation of social insurance, General Healthcare System and PAYE deductions on both the employee and employer sides
  • Monthly submissions and payments to the Social Insurance Services and the Tax Department
  • The annual employer's return and employees' certificates of emoluments
  • Starters, leavers and termination calculations
  • Directors' remuneration, and how it interacts with the company's own tax position

Employer contributions in 2026

A Cyprus employer contributes 8.8% to social insurance alongside the employee's 8.8%, together with contributions to the Redundancy, Industrial Training and Social Cohesion funds, and 2.90% to the General Healthcare System against the employee's 2.65%. Insurable earnings are capped, at €68,904 for 2026. The full picture, including the personal tax bands that determine PAYE, is set out on our Cyprus tax and contributions page.

Confidentiality

Payroll carries the most sensitive information a business holds about its people. Salary data stays within the firm and is seen only by the staff assigned to your engagement.
